Jordanian Monarch departs for France

Amman, His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, departed on a working visit to Paris on Monday, to be followed by a private visit.

Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah will accompany His Majesty on the visit to Paris, the Jordanian News Agency (Petra) reported.

HM King congratulated by BDF Commander-in-Chief on Royal Ascot win

Manama, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, received a cable of congratulations from Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), on the occasion of Victorious Racing’s success at the Royal Ascot in the United Kingdom, in which the horse “Isle of Jura” won first place in the second half of the 2,400 meters on grass, of the Hardwicke Stakes in the second category.

Shura Chairman congratulates Qatari counterpart

Manama, Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, the Shura Council Chairman, congratulated Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim, the Speaker of the Qatari Shura Council, on the anniversary of the Accession of the Amir of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to the Throne.

Foreign Affairs Minister meets Thai counterpart

Tehran, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Maris Sangiampongsa, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, on the sidelines of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) meeting, held in Iran.

The meeting discussed Bahraini-Thai ties and cooperation and the means to further enhance them in various fields.

The two officials exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments and their potential impact on security and regional stability.

Bahrain expresses solidarity with Jordan over victims in accident involving humanitarian aid trucks enroute to Gaza

Manama, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed sympathy and solidarity of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the government and people of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan over the deaths and injuries of several soldiers, following an accident involving military trucks as part of a relief and humanitarian aid convoy enroute to the Gaza Strip.

In a statement today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs extended the Kingdom’s sincere condolences and solidarity with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.

The Kingdom of Bahrain commended Jordan’s efforts in supporting the Palestinians and the people of the Gaza Strip to confront the difficult humanitarian conditions.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Bahrain’s call for concerted international efforts to facilitate the safe and unimpeded delivery of critical humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Tehran, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashed Al Zayani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Naryan Kaji Shrista, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nepal, on the sidelines of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) ministerial meeting.

The two sides reviewed bilateral relations and ways to enhance them in various domains.

The meeting discussed political and security developments in the region and the world and their repercussions on regional security and stability.
