Evening raids on various areas of the Gaza Strip resulted in a large number of martyrs and wounded


Gaza – Together – Israeli aircraft renewed their bombing of various areas of the Gaza Strip on Wednesday evening.

Eight citizens were martyred in the bombing of a gathering of citizens in the Jabalia camp in the northern Gaza Strip, a few hours after three citizens were martyred in the Al-Jarn area when they were bombed by an Israeli plane as they were trying to pick up the Internet signal.

In the Shuja’iya neighborhood, the occupation bombed a house for the soldier’s family, leading to the death of three citizens, in addition to several injuries.

Nine citizens were martyred in the bombing of two residential apartments and a house west of the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip by Israeli gunboats.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the Israeli occupation committed 4 massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, including 60 martyrs and 140 injuries to hospitals during the past 24 hours, bringing the toll of the Israeli aggression to 37,718 martyrs and 86,377 injuries since the 7th of last
October.

Gold falls to its lowest level in more than two weeks


Bethlehem – Ma’an – Gold prices fell 1% to their lowest levels in more than two weeks today, Wednesday, affected by the rise in the dollar and bond yields, while investors await US inflation data scheduled to be released this week.

By 14:03 GMT, gold in spot transactions fell 0.9 percent at $2,299.40 per ounce, recording its lowest levels since June 10.

US gold futures fell 0.8 percent to $2,311.30.

Labour Minister opens Career Day event


Manama, Jameel bin Muhammad Ali Humaidan, the Minister of Labour, opened the ‘Careers Day’ event at Arab Open University (AOU).

The event was attended by Ali Abdul Hussain Al Asfour, the Northern Governor, and Dr. Hesham Mohamed, the Assistant to the President of the Arab Open University in Bahrain.

Private sector institutions showcased the job opportunities they offer, the necessary skills for each position, and emerging career patterns in Bahrain’s labour market.

The event aimed to inform the Arab Open University students and graduates about professions that suit their specialties and equip them with the needed experience in applying for jobs, preparing CVs and sitting for job interviews.

The minister affirmed the need to align educational outcomes with Bahrain’s labour market needs and matching university students’ specialisation choices with private sector requirements to facilitate their employment.

Humidan said that the Bahraini government has launched numerous initiatives to make Bahrainis the pre
ferred choice in the labour market.

He highlighted the collaborative efforts between the Ministry of Labour, the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), the Education and Training Quality Authority (BQA), and the Higher Education Council (HEC) to align educational and training outputs with employers’ needs.

Mumtalakat invests in Racing Force to support local expansion


Manama, Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat) announced an investment through a fully owned subsidiary in Racing Force, parent company of Racing Force Group (the Group), a world leader in safety systems for motorsports, to address the growing global market demand for motorsports safety products.

This investment coincides with the expansion plans of Racing Force Group of its current Bell Racing Helmets factory in Bahrain, which was established in 2014, and to explore growth opportunities in the Kingdom by introducing new brands and a wider range of products.

Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, CEO of Mumtalakat, emphasised that the collaboration with Racing Force aligns with Mumtalakat’s strategic objectives to create highly skilled job opportunities for Bahrainis, boost the competitiveness of the Kingdom’s specialised industrial sector on a global level, and enhance Bahrain’s position as a motorsports hub in the region.

The Racing Force Group’s Bell Racing Helmets facility in Bahrain has emplo
yed 400 Bahrainis since its establishment and all Bell Racing Helmets products are locally made. Since its launch, it has produced and exported 254,000 helmets, 286,000 Mini Helmets, and over 500,000 accessories, highlighting the Kingdom’s manufacturing competitiveness on the global stage.

HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman chairs Tamkeen Q2 meeting


Manama, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), chaired its board of directors meeting for the second quarter of 2024.

The meeting discussed strategic initiatives to boost Bahraini enterprise growth, domestic employment, and career development, including a key partnership with the Supreme Council for Health (SCH) to support over 700 Bahraini doctors and nurses.

Maha Abdulhameed Mofeez, Chief Executive of Tamkeen, presented key achievements for the first half of the year. These include supporting over 8,800 Bahrainis in entering the labour market, providing career development support to more than 12,000 Bahrainis, and supporting over 5,000 enterprises, 57% of which were small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The meeting underscored that these achievements demonstrate Tamkeen’s alignment with the National Labour Market plan, supported by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and followed up by His Royal Highness Prince
Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Tamkeen’s strategic priorities will focus on increasing economic participation, expanding career development opportunities, and enhancing private sector productivity through technology adoption and enterprise support.

GCC Sec Gen meets Brazilian officials, highlights efforts to enhance international cooperation


Brasilia, An official reception was organised in honour of Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in Brazil. The reception was hosted by Talal Al Mansour, Ambassador of Kuwait to Brazil, and attended by Brazilian government and parliamentary officials, led by the Minister of Agricultural Development and the Deputy Foreign Minister of Brazil.

Albudaiwi emphasised that the significant presence of Brazilian government officials and ambassadors accredited in Brazil reflects the GCC’s prominent international position. He underscored the council’s effort to enhance international cooperation with various countries and organisations.

During the reception, the secretary general highlighted the advanced GCC-Brazilian relations and commended the Brazilian government’s efforts in strengthening cooperation.

Tawasul, Al Tajir, and Sehati Mobile Apps win Bahrain Digital Content Award 2023


Manama, Three government applications provided by the Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA) in collaboration with other government entities won the Bahrain Digital Content Award 2023. The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Ali Bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of Shura Council, and organized by Bahrain Technology Companies Society (BTECH), and Worksmart For Events Management in collaboration with the World Summit Awards (WSA), at the Gulf Convention Centre.

The awards were received by iGA’s Deputy Chief Executive for Electronic Transformation Dr. Zakareya Ahmed Al Khaja. Tawasul app emerged as the winner in ??the ‘Government and Citizen Engagement’ category, while Al-Tajir app, developed in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and several government entities, won the ‘Business and Commerce’ category. The Sehati app secured first place in the ‘Health and Wellbeing’ category.

iGA Chief Executive, Mohammed Ali Al Qaed expressed his pride in the digital projects’ success, underscoring th
e support provided by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in championing innovative initiatives and enhancing government services for citizens and residents. He lauded the directives of General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for Information and Communication Technology (MCICT), highlighting his role in the iGA’s mission to provide regularly upgraded systems and services, spearheading comprehensive digital transformation.

The Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health, H.E. The Minister of Health, Chief Executives of Government Hospitals, Primary Healthcare Centers, and the National Health Regularity Authority (NHRA) for their valuable cooperation and support in the digital transformation of the healthcare sector. He highlighted the quality healthcare services of the app and innovative, user-friendly interface that facilitate convenient healthcare access, saving users time and effort while improving the Kingdom’s healthcare sector

Moreover, Al Qaed extended his appreciation to H.E. the Minister of Industry and Commerce, as well as the Chief Executives of the L
abor Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), the Social Insurance Organization (SIO) and the other concerned entities for their support to iGA in implementing the digital systems and projects. Social Development Minister attends 2nd GCC International CSR Conference and Award


Manama, Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al Asfoor, the Minister of Social Development, attended the inauguration of the 2nd GCC International CSR Conference and Award, under the theme ‘Strategic practices for a better tomorrow’.

The conference is organised by Bahrain CSR Society and Eastern Province Council for Social Responsibility in Saudi Arabia.

NIHR President highlights Bahrain’s success in combating human trafficking


Manama, Ali Ahmed Al Derazi, President of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), commended Bahrain’s extensive efforts in combating human trafficking across legislative, regulatory, administrative, and judicial levels.

These measures are underpinned by reform endeavours of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the significant initiatives led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, along with relevant state ministries and agencies addressing this cross-border crime, he said.

Al Derazi noted that Bahrain’s success in maintaining Tier 1 status in the US State Department’s report on combating human trafficking for the seventh consecutive year reflects the effectiveness of Bahrain’s strategies and policies.

This recognition is an international acknowledgment of Bahrain’s progress, marked by comprehensive legislative development, enhanced institutional capacity, and active international and regional cooperation to combat human trafficking,
he added.

He emphasised that these integrated efforts contribute to enhancing Bahrain’s positive image and demonstrate its long-term commitment to human rights and the implementation of international law.

Al Derazi said achieving Tier 1 status reinforces Bahrain’s position as an effective and responsible partner in the international community’s fight against transnational crimes such as human trafficking.

Al Derazi reiterated NIHR’s commitment to collaborating with all concerned parties to combat human trafficking, ensuring the optimal application of human rights.

Transportation Ministry, Cityneon Middle East sign platinum sponsorship agreement


Manama, The Ministry of Transportation and Communications, and Cityneon Middle East, signed a platinum sponsorship agreement for the Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS) 2024, which will be held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, from November 13-15 at the Sakhir Air Base.

The Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS) 2024 is organised through a collaborative effort between the Bahrain Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications, the Royal Bahraini Air Force, and Farnborough International.

The agreement was signed by Mohammed bin Thamer Al Kaabi, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, and Roger Wehbeh, General Manager of Cityneon Middle East.

According to the agreement, Cityneon will assume exclusive responsibility for constructing the exhibition hall, build gates and designs, provide services, supervise the construction of platforms for international companies, and equip all Royal Aircraft hangar with facilities to transform them into a showroom commensurate wit
h international requirements and standards for such major events.
