A 24-Hour Service to Host Young Children at Care Centers Near the Grand Mosque Launched


Makkah: In a step that reflects the commitment to providing comprehensive care for the pilgrims during the Hajj season 1445H, the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque launched a 24-hour care service, including overnight stay, for children accompanying their parents who are engaged in Hajj.

The General Authority has installed special boarding houses in the vicinity of the Grand Mosque with a total capacity to accommodate 50 children. The aim is to provide a safe and comfortable environment for the young dependents of pilgrims and allow their parents to perform their rituals with peace of mind.

The centers are equipped with highly qualified staff and necessary equipment for education, play, health, and comfort.

The centers will operate from Dhu al-Hijjah 3 to Dhu al-Hijjah 14 and receive girls from one to ten years old and boys from one to eight years old. The centers include three areas designated for different age groups: the first from one to three yea
rs, the second from four to six years, and the third from seven to ten years.

The playing and learning areas within the centers are designed to reflect the developmental characteristics of children and include pedagogical and educational games and stories linked to the biography of the Prophet and the religious landmarks of Makkah.
