Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Meets Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs

HE Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi met on Tuesday in Tehran with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hossein Amir Abdollahian.

Bilateral cooperation relations between the two countries were reviewed during the meeting.

The meeting was attended by HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammed bin Hamad Al Hajri and HE Director of Asian Affairs Department at Ministry of Foreign Affairs Yousef bin Sultan Laram.

HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi, met today with HE Minister of State for External Affairs and Minister of Parliamentary Affairs of the Republic of India V. Muraleedharan, who is currently visiting the country.

Nearly 80% of Afghani girls are out of school

Almost 80% of girls have been denied their right to education in provinces in Afghanistan where secondary schools have remained closed for girls, almost a month since the Taliban extended the ban on secondary school girls attending classes. UEFA bans Russia teams from competitions amid Ukraine war

UEFA has suspended all Russian football teams from competing in next season’s European Champions League competition, the footballing body said late on Monday, in a move to further sanction the country as it continues its invasion of Ukraine. H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Turkmen Deputy Premier, FM discuss enhancing bilateral ties

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and Turkmen Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Rashid Meredov, reviewed the prospects of enhancing bilateral relations in various fields in the common interest of the two nations’ peoples.

This came in a meeting in the capital Abu Dhabi where they exchanged views on the latest regional and global developments and issues of interest.

During the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah conveyed to the Turkmen leadership, government and people Eid Al-Fitr greetings on behalf of the UAE leadership.

The UAE top diplomat also emphasised the privileged relations between the two nations and the prospects available for growing cooperation on various fronts.

Meredov congratulated the UAE leadership, government and people on the advent of Eid Al-Fitr, wishing the UAE further prosperity and progress.

He affirmed his country’s keenness to strengthen bilateral relations in all fields, hailing the prestigious status boasted by the UAE on the regional and international scene.

UAE ambassador presents credentials to President of Ecuador

Mohammed Abdullah Al Shamsi, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Peru, has presented his credentials to President Guillermo Lasso of Ecuador, as the UAE Non-Resident Ambassador to Ecuador, during a ceremony at the presidential palace in the capital Quito.

Al Shamsi conveyed to President Lasso the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai; and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and their sincere wishes to the President and people of the country for further development and prosperity.

The President of Ecuador reciprocated the sentiment to the UAE leaders, wishing the UAE government and its people further growth and development.

President Lasso wished the UAE Ambassador success in his work to enhance the ties between both countries, while highlighting his country’s readiness to provide him with the required support.

During the meeting, both sides discussed the prospects of fostering cooperation between the UAE and Ecuador for the benefit of both sides.

Deputy Director of MoFAIC’s Dubai Office receives credentials of Consul General of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia

Mr. Rashid Abdulla Al Qaseer, Deputy Director of MoFAIC’s Dubai Office met with H.E. Aklilu Kebede Erena, Consul General of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia in Dubai and received his credentials.
