MoFAIC receives credentials copy from the new Uzbek Ambassador

H.E. Abdulla Mohamed Alblooki, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Protocol Affairs at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation received a copy of the credentials of H.E. Abdulaziz Urolboevich Akkulov – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Alblooki wished the Uzbek Ambassador success in the performance of his duties and in enhancing bilateral relations and cooperation between the UAE and Uzbekistan.

The newly appointed Ambassador expressed his pleasure at representing his country in the United Arab Emirates, which enjoys a prestigious regional and international position thanks to the visionary policy of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.

Prime Minister of Lebanon Meets Qatar’s Ambassador

Prime Minister of the Lebanese Republic Najib Mikati met today with HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Lebanon with HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Lebanon Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al Sahlawi.

The meeting dealt with reviewing bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

Pakistani Prime Minister Meets Qatar’s Ambassador

HE Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif met with HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Islamic Republic Pakistan Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani.

During the meeting, bilateral relations between the two countries were reviewed.

During the meeting, HE Pakistani Prime Minister praised the level of distinguished bilateral relations between the State of Qatar and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and stressed his country’s keenness to strengthen them in all fields.

Emirates to continue flights to Russia until Dubai says stop

Dubai-owned Emirates airline has vowed to continue flying to Russia unless told to stop by the government, following an embargo on Moscow by the UAE’s western allies. His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, King of Bahrain discuss consolidating cooperation ties

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, today discussed with His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, the prospects of further consolidating the fraternal relations between the two nations across all fields.

During the meeting, which took place at the Sakhir Palace in Bahrain, King of Bahrain welcomed His Highness Sheikh Mohammed, wishing him continued good health and wellbeing and further development and prosperity for the UAE and its people.

The two leaders exchanged Ramadan greetings, praying to Allah Almighty to perpetuate prosperity, goodness and stability for the peoples of the Arab and Islamic nations and the world at large.

They exchanged cordial talk about the long-standing relations that unite the UAE and the Kingdom of Bahrain and their common will to expand their common interests and fulfill their peoples’ aspirations for further progress and development. They also discussed a number of Gulf and Arab issues and exchanged views on the latest regional and global developments.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed stressed the depth and width of the relations between the two countries, their leaders and their brotherly peoples, and their common desire to continue strengthening and developing them in various fields thanks to the support of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and King Hamad.

The King of Bahrain took pride in the strong fraternal relations binding the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, as reflected in their joint stances towards different issues, following in the steps of the founding fathers. He hailed the UAE’s unwavering support to Bahrain and its people at different stages and at all levels.

The two leaders stressed the importance of further developing trade and investment cooperation, underlining the necessity of building on the achievements and expanding cooperation between the private sectors in both countries in vital sectors.

They also stressed the importance of exploring opportunities to develop joint cooperation in the fields of technology, science, energy, renewable energy, environment, health and education to meet their common aspirations and goals. They affirmed support for joint Gulf action to confront various current challenges, based on the unity of history, goals and common destiny in order to achieve progress and prosperity for the citizens of the GCC countries.

They also underlined the importance of consolidating Arab unity and concerted efforts to achieve Arab solidarity and enhance joint Arab action to meet the aspirations of Arab peoples to achieve security, stability and prosperity.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan also attended an Iftar banquet hosted by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa. The banquet was attended by the delegation accompanying His Highness, including His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Ministry of Presidential Affairs; Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, the UAE ambassador to Bahrain, and Dr. Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Adviser to UAE President.

His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, National Security Adviser and Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, recited a poem on this occasion.

Sheikh Mohamed arrived earlier today at Sakhir Air Base Airport, where he was welcomed by King Hamad, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, a number of Sheikhs, and Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah bin Ali bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s Ambassador to the UAE, where an official reception ceremony was held for His Highness, during which the national anthems of both UAE and of Bahrain were played, and guards of honour lined up to salute him.

Sheikh Mohamed later left Bahrain and was seen off at Sakhir Base Airport by King Hamad.

Foreign Minister meets Saudi counterpart

Riyadh, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, met here today the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud.

During the meeting, they discussed the course of the close relations that bring the two brotherly countries together, and ways to enhance joint cooperation between them at all levels, to meet the aspirations of both countries and peoples.

They also discussed the efforts being made to enhance joint Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) towards broader horizons in order to achieve the aspirations of the citizens of the GCC countries for further integration and interdependence, in addition to developments in the political and security situations on the regional and international arenas, as well as issues of common interest.

UAE President confers Zayed the Second Medal to Chinese Ambassador

President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has conferred the Zayed the Second Medal to Ni Jian, Chinese Ambassador to the UAE, in appreciation of the efforts he made during his tenure.

Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, presented the Chinese Ambassador with the medal, while receiving him yesterday at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

During the meeting, Al Hashemy stressed the UAE’s keenness to strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership with China in all domains, and praised the ambassador’s contribution to developing this relationship, having advanced bilateral cooperation during his years of work in the country.

She also thanked the Chinese Ambassador for his efforts and wished him success in his future assignments.
