Indonesian Pilgrim Undergoes Surgery in Makkah

Makkah: A medical team from East Arafat Hospital performed emergency surgery on an 80-year-old Indonesian pilgrim who suffered from a perforated intestine and internal bleeding caused by an ulcer.

The Makkah Health Cluster coordinated the patient’s transfer from Madinah to ensure he could complete his Hajj rituals while receiving critical medical care. The surgery, performed on the Day of Arafah, repaired the perforation and addressed the bleeding.

Following the successful operation, the pilgrim’s condition stabilized, his blood haemoglobin levels improved, and symptoms of poisoning subsided. He is currently recovering in the hospital ward.
