King Salman Global Academy for the Arabic Language Takes Part at Seoul International Book Fair 2024

Riyadh: The King Salman Global Academy for the Arabic Language participated in the “Seoul International Book Fair 2024” in the Republic of Korea, organized by the Korean Publishers Association from June 26 to 30 at the Coex Convention and Exhibition Complex. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was invited as a guest of honor for the second time, following its previous invitation in 2012 during the fair’s 66th session.

During the event, the academy launched the “Arabic Language in Korea Project”, focusing on research and a collection of books related to the Arabic language in Korea. A special section featured books discussing language and identity, such as “100 Questions about the Arabic Language” and “Guide for Non-Arabic Language Learners”, available in both Arabic and English versions. Additionally, recent publications from the academy, Arabic language books in Korea, and excerpts from the series “Arabic in the World” were showcased.

In collaboration with the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission,
the academy organized the “Saudi-Korean Language Forum”. This included a symposium titled “The Arabic Language and the Korean Language: Reality and Future”, highlighting discussions on the current state and future prospects of both languages.
