KSrelief Launches Fish Landing Center in Yemen’s Al-Mahrah Governorate


Al-Mahrah, The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) launched the Fish Landing Center in Al-Hawseen district in Al-Mahrah governorate, Yemen, on Thursday. This initiative is part of the emergency support project to protect livelihoods based on agriculture, livestock, and fisheries for populations affected by the humanitarian crisis in Yemen, in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

The center aims to revitalize the marine fishing sector by increasing fish production and improving the living standards and income of fishermen, their families, and all workers involved in marketing, selling, and exporting fish. The President of the General Authority for Fisheries praised KSrelief’s efforts in supporting the fisheries sector, which will help alleviate the suffering of fishermen affected by humanitarian crises and natural disasters.

This initiative is part of the humanitarian and relief projects provided by the Kingdom through KSrelief, aimed at
enhancing food security and supporting farmers and livestock in various cities and provinces across Yemen.
