Manama, Lieutenant-General Tariq Al Hassan, Chief of Public Security and Chairman of the National Civil Emergency Management Committee, has announced the activation of the National Civil Emergency Management Centre to monitor the implications of rain and unstable weather.
This decision aligns with the directives of General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, The Interior Minister.
Lieutenant-General Al Hassan said that the centre is implementing the rainfall emergency plan, which outlines the responsibilities of relevant authorities. The plan includes monitoring preparedness levels and weather forecasts, as well as outlining strategies for engaging with the public through the National Civil Protection Platform, traditional media, and social media channels.
The centre urged the public to adhere to security protocols, weather advisories, and official warnings, emphasising the importance of obtaining information from authorised sources during rainy conditions to safeguard lives and property.

ld visit, the Chief inspected the centre’s operations, underscoring the collaborative efforts of various government sectors and entities, which reflect a unified approach to protecting lives and property. He highlighted the plan’s key objectives, including securing major and minor roads, implementing comprehensive response measures, and issuing timely alerts to citizens and residents.
