Vice Human Resources Minister for Labor Meets with UN Resident Coordinator in Saudi Arabia


Riyadh: Vice Minister of Human Resources and Social Development for Labor Dr. Abdullah Abuthnain met with the UN Resident Coordinator in Saudi Arabia, Mohamed El Zarkani, and his accompanying delegation.

Abuthnain praised the UN’s role and its relations with Member States. The two sides discussed aspects of cooperation, enhancing the strategic partnership between the UN and the ministry, and other issues of common interest.

El Zarkani congratulated the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development on the recent ratification of Convention No. 187 on Occupational Safety and Health at the 112th session of the International Labour Conference, and on the progress made in achieving the eighth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals for 2024.
