‫تطوير (27) مشروع ريادي في ختام برنامج سكنى فنشرز ويونيفونك «Unifonic X»

وقد شارك في إنجاح هذا البرنامج النوعي الداعم لرواد الأعمال كل من: الهيئة العامة للمنشآت الصغيرة والمتوسطة (منشآت)، وزارة الاتصالات وتكنولوجيا المعلومات (MCIT)، بالإضافة إلى شريك الخدمات المصرفية الحصري بنك الرياض.

وشهد البرنامج إقبالاً كبيراً من رواد الأعمال العرب، ووقع الاختيار النهائي على (27) مشارك أغلبهم من المملكة العربية السعودية ودول أخرى مثل مصر والأردن والإمارات العربية المتحدة، وقام المشاركون بإجراء سلسلة من أنشطة التعلم العملية، والتي تضمنت ورش العمل المباشرة وجلسات التوجيه الفردية والدروس عبر الإنترنت والعروض الترويجية الداخلية، مما مكنهم من بناء مشاريع مؤثرة وناجحة ومستدامة.

وشاركت الفرق التنفيذية من سكنى فنشرز ويونيفونك بشكل فعال في الأنشطة التوجيهية وجلسات المشورة والتعقيبات للشركات الناشئة، بمشاركة نخبة من خبراء الصناعة المحليين والدوليين بصفتهم متحدثين ضيوف وموجهين في مجالات الاستثمار والتمويل والقانون والمبيعات والتسويق، حيث كان أبرز المشاركين كريس نيومان (كومنولث فنشرز)، ودانيا بشير (أرقام)، وحمزة ناصف (ريال فنشرز)، ومايك سيجال (جلوبال ستارت أب أدفايزر)، وبيدرام موكريان (جلوبال إنوفيشن كاتاليست)، وسانديب خير (سيكويا كابيتال)، وسباستيان توبي (جلوبال ستراتيجيست).

كما استعرض المشاركون أمام لجنة بارزة تضم الإدارة العليا من شركة سكنى فنشرز ويونيفونك، عدداً من الأفكار الريادية تضمنت أفكار تجارية مبتكرة حول كيفية عمل الخدمات التقليدية من خلال حلول الاتصالات السحابية في قطاعات متعددة، مثل: اللوجستيات والبيع عبر سلسلة التجزئة والسفريات والإرشاد والمجتمعات الاجتماعية والتسويق الرقمي وغيرها.

UAE to enforce ‘Green Pass COVID Protocol’ in federal departments

Abu Dhabi, All UAE federal government employees and the public seeking federal government services nationwide are required to follow the Green Pass Protocol on Alhosn app effective 3rd January, 2022, to have access to federal entities, with entry to these departments to be confined to the individuals who have received two doses of UAE-approved COVID-19 vaccines and booster shots. A negative PCR test every 14 days is needed to maintain the green status in Al Hosn app.

This was announced by the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), in collaboration with the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority NCEMA), in line with the UAE’s COVID-19 recovery drive and efforts made at the country level to ensure public safety, Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported.

Meanwhile, those with vaccination exemption will be allowed entry, provided their green status is active on Al Hosn app, which will require taking a PCR test every seven days, while children aged under 16 will not be required to undergo any Covid tests.

MoHAP stressed that unvaccinated individuals and those with ‘grey status’ on the Al Hosn app will not be allowed access to federal government entities.

The Ministry underlined the importance of taking the booster shots, as per the approved national vaccination protocol in order to ensure the acquired community immunity against the backdrop of the emergence of new COVID-19 variants.

HH Shaikh Khalid praises efforts of Bahrain Weightlifting and Bodybuilding Association to develop sports

Manama, Under the patronage of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, the National Day Weightlifting and Powerlifting Championship concluded yesterday.

The three-day event was held in coincidence with Kingdom’s National Days, in commemoration of the establishment of the modern Bahraini State as an Arab and Muslim state, founded by Ahmed Al Fateh in 1783, and the anniversary of His Majesty the King’s Accession to the Throne.

It was attended by HH Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Vice President of the General Sports Authority, Dr Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar, CEO of the General Sports Authority, Faris Mustafa Al Kooheji, President of Bahrain Weightlifting and Bodybuilding Association.

On this occasion, HH Shaikh Khalid expressed utmost happiness at the wide participation at the event which featured competitors from Bahrain, GCC region, Asian and European countries.

His Highness underlined that such a sports gathering cements efforts to make Bahrain a key destination to host top events.

“We are proud of the efforts being exerted by Bahrain Weightlifting and Bodybuilding Association under the presidency of Faris Mustafa Al Kooheji towards planning and implementing programmes that support our endeavours to upgrade sports and elevate the qualifications of trainers and administrative members as well as sportspeople.

Holding this event at this time reflects the Association’s keenness to celebrate the national events, and this reflects the importance of the sports associations and federations to spread the national values and principles and strengthen loyalty,” HH Shaikh Khalid said.

It’s worth noting that the event featured 120 participants from both genders; 50 in weightlifting and 70 in powerlifting.

Zainab Ali Abdullah won the champion of the champions title in the women’s weightlifting, while Mahdi Sakhar took home the men’s title.

Ameena Hassan triumphed in the women’s powerlifting section, and Abdullah Salmeen achieved the men’s title in the same competition.

Qatar’s pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai celebrates National Day

Qatar’s pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai organized several events and activities in celebration of the Qatar National Day, featuring the participation of His Excellency Mr. Sultan bin Rashid Al–Khater, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce &Industry, H.E. Mr. Yacoub Yousef Al Hosani, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for International Organisations Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, Mr. Najeeb Mohammed Al-Ali, Executive Director, Commissioner General Office, Expo 2020 Dubai and Mr. Nasser bin Mohammed Al-Mohannadi, General Commissioner of the Qatar Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai,, in addition to a number of Ministers and official delegations from the participating countries, as well as the public and the media.

A diversified program was prepared on the occasion of Qatar National Day, including presenting musical numbers by Qatari artists on the Jubilee Platform, to reflect Qatari culture and traditions. The shows included a performance ofFidjeri art, accompanied by a popular band, as well as a selection of international songs in different languages, performed by the Siwar Choir children. A parade was also organized in the State’s pavilion at the Sustainability District.The parade featured the participation of the exhibit visitors from all around the world.

Qatar is participating in Expo 2020 Dubai through a special pavilion that features several activities and events which highlight the country’s march towards achieving its national vision QNV 2030. The pavilion also illuminatesthe mammoth and pioneering projects that have been completed to host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, in addition to previewing the incentives and investment opportunities provided by the State to implement its economic diversification plans, as per the National Development Strategy 2018-2022.

UAE: National Human Rights Institution independent, operates based on Paris Principles

Abu Dhabi, The UAE National Human Rights Institution (NHRI) is an independent entity that has its own legal personality, and enjoys financial and administrative autonomy within the spirit of the Paris Principles, NHRI Chairperson Maqsoud Kruse has said.

In a statement today to mark the start of his new term, Kruse said that the NHRI will oversee the government’s performance on all matters related to human rights, develop proposals, make recommendations, and provide consultation to relevant stakeholders on ways to promote, protect and pursue human rights in government and private sectors.

The NHRI will exercise its functions through close partnerships with governmental entities, civil society, non-governmental organisations, think tanks, research and academic centers, he added.

It will also form close partnerships and work with different international organisations, in particular the United Nations, in order to develop good practices and be able to work in accordance with international standards.

“The NHRI will develop programmes and initiatives that will foster the culture and principles of human rights, as represented in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, as well as the promotion of the rule of law and equality amongst all members of the community based on the principles of tolerance, diversity and coexistence,” he said.

The NHRI Chairperson pointed out that, at this foundational stage, he will be working closely with the Board of Trustees to develop executive plans, organisational structures and budget, as well as the recruitment of young talents to join the NHRI.

The NHRI will launch the visual identity and its social media accounts to ensure direct and seamless communication with the public, in order to achieve the highest levels of professional efficiency and quality of services, he said.

Prior to his current role, Kruse has served as the Strategic Communications Advisor at the Ministry of Presidential Affairs (MOPA), in addition to his role as a Member of the National Media Team that has been commissioned by the UAE Cabinet.

He also worked as the Executive Director of Hedayah, the international centre for countering violent extremism. The independent international centre focused on Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) in all of its forms and manifestations by conducting dialogue, capacity building and research.

Kruse served as a Steering Board Member of the Policy, Think and Do Tanks Constituency for the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund (GCERF) since its establishment in 2014 as a multi-stakeholder global fund that works with local partners to strengthen community resilience to violent extremism.

In addition to his 20 years of service in international, governmental and private sectors; he is an international writer, public speaker and a regular guest on a variety of media outlets and publications.

He holds a Master’s degree in Organisational Psychology from the University of Melbourne in Australia and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU).

UAE Minister of State, Sri Lankan Minister of Public Security discuss cooperation

Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State, has met with Sarath Weerasekera, Minister of Public Security of Sri Lanka, to discuss a number of issues of common concern.

During the meeting, which was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Abu Dhabi, the parties discussed bilateral relations between the UAE and Sri Lanka and ways to further boost friendship and cooperation ties across various sectors.

The two sides also reviewed means to enhance security, trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.

Al Sayegh praised Sri Lanka’s distinguished participation in Expo 2020 Dubai, stressing that this global event is an opportunity to discuss cooperation and build bridges of communication. He also welcomed the expected visit of the Sri Lankan Prime Minister to participate in the activities of his country’s National Day ceremony, which will be held at the Expo.

For his part, the Sri Lankan Minister expressed his admiration for Expo 2020 Dubai, and congratulated the UAE for the remarkable organisation of this global event. He also praised the distinguished bilateral relations, expressing his hope to strengthen this cooperation in various fields and continuity of development for the benefit of the two friendly countries.
