Syria wins 5 Bronze medals in Arab Youth Muaythai Championship 2023

Syrian Youth Muaythai team gained 5 bronze medals at the Arab Youth Muaythai Championship 2023 held recently at the Libyan capital of Tripoli.

200 players representing 15 Arab countries took part in the Championship which has concluded its activities on Sunday.

Sally al-Raei, 51 Kg, Haneen Ali, 57 Kg, Rachael Bufroud, 45 Kg, Tarek al-Wahaibi, 60 Kg, and Ali al-Khatib, 67 Kg won the Bronze medals of the championship.

Libya, UAE, Morocco, Iraq, Palestine, Jordon, Bahrain, Egypt, Yemen, Lebanon, Kuwait, Mauritania, Algeria and Tunisia participated in this tournament, in addition to Syria.

“Made in Syria” exhibition kicks off in Tartous with participation of 40 companies

The activities of “ made in Syria “ exhibition started on Sunday in Tartous province with participation of about 40 local companies from different provinces.

The exhibition is held by the Tartous Chamber of commerce and industry and Damascus Chamber of industry with cooperation with Damascus countryside Chamber of Commerce.

The Federation of Chambers of Commerce and the Ministry took the decision to hold marketing festivals for stationery, school supplies, materials and other commodities, to provide the best possible in light of the difficult living situations, minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, Mohsen Abdel Karim said in a statement.

The exhibition will last till 2nd of next September.

Mikdad stresses importance of caring about Syrian citizens’ interests abroad and provide best services to them

Minister of Foreign and Expatriates, Fayssal Mikdad, stressed the importance of caring about the interests of Syrian citizens abroad and providing them with the best services, in addition to strengthening communication with them continuously.

Meeting on Sunday with heads of Syrian diplomatic missions appointed in a number of brotherly and friendly countries who will carry out their tasks there in the coming days, Mikdad provided them with instructions related to Syria’s stances on various developments and political events in the region and the world.

He stressed the importance of taking care of the interests of Syrian citizens abroad and providing them with the best services in addition to enhancing communication with them continuously.

Presidential decrees granting compensation of work nature to permanent and contract workers

President Bashar al-Assad issued the decree No.27 granting compensation of the work nature by 50% of the monthly salary at the date of starting work for engineers, veterinarians, geologists and geophysicists, whether permanent or contract workers.

President al-Assad also issued the decree No.28 stipulating for granting radiology, anesthesia and prosthetic technicians of the permanent or contract workers at the hospitals affiliated to the Ministers of Defense, Interior, Higher Education and Health, a compensation of the work nature by 50% of the monthly salary.

President al-Assad issued the decree No. 29 stipulating for amending Article No.106 of Syrian Airlines Employees Law issued by Decree No. 35 for the year 1979.

UAE leaders congratulate President of Moldova on Independence Day

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has sent a congratulatory message to President Maia Sandu of Moldova on the occasion of her country’s Independence Day.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, dispatched similar messages to President Sandu and Prime Minister Dorin Recean on the occasion.

SpaceX Launches 22 Starlink Satellites into Space

Space Exploration Technologies Corporation (SpaceX) launched 22 Starlink Sattelites into space.

According to a statement from the corporation, the Falcon 9 rocket, carrying the sattelites, was launched from Cape Canaveral Space Force Base, Florida.

The first phase of the rocket returned to Earth successfully about 8 minutes later, landing on a SpaceX drone stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.

SpaceX has launched more than 5,000 satellites to date.

WhatsApp Launches New Feature to Share Better Quality Photos, Videos

The instant messaging platform WhatsApp announced the launch of a new feature that allows users to share photos and videos in the original resolution.

According to the company, users can share photos through the new feature with better quality than before.

The site published a screenshot showing that WhatsApp is already working on a new feature to send photos and videos in the original quality, specifically, a new entry point will be available within the document selection section that will allow users to easily select photos and videos from their application gallery.

WhatsApp explained that sharing these photos and videos will continue as documents, but WhatsApp is now making it easier to share them by allowing users to select media from the gallery without navigating through multiple lists or folders.

Google Brings ‘Help Me Write’ Feature to Chromebook

Google’ is preparing to launch an Artificial Intelligence (AI) feature titled ‘Help Me Write’, which aims at improving the quality of writing through Chromebook devices.

The company equips the creative writing and editing feature powered by AI for Chromebook devices, allowing users to improve the quality of writing across the entire operating system.

Google has already delivered these sorts of AI-powered writing and editing tools in some of their other apps like Gmail and Google Docs to help users easily improve their writing.

Additionally, the Google Messages app recently rolled out a “Magic Compose” feature that uses AI to help draft or edit replies. These moves each highlight Googles increasing focus on generative AI.

Qatar Skydivers Claim Silver at FAI 2023 World Cup Championship in Norway

Qatar 8-Way Formation Skydiving Team, an affiliate of Qatar Air Sports Committee (QASC) of the Ministry of Defense’s Joint Special Forces, claimed silver at the FAI 2023 World Cup Championship at Voss, Norway.

The Qatari team secured 177 points to finish second in the tournament that featured teams from 24 countries from Aug. 22 – 26.

HE Commander of the Joint Special Forces Staff, Chairman of QASC Brigadier General Jassim bin Ali Al Attiyah thanked the wise leadership, which is keen to provide all means of support for Qatari sports people to achieve the best results in all world competitions. His Excellency also extended thanks to HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah and HE Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces Staff Lt. General (Pilot) Salem bin Hamad bin Aqeel Al Nabit.

His Excellency hailed the Qatar skydiving team’s outstanding performance against the best ranked teams in the world.

QASC’s Vice-Chairman Abdullah Saeed Al Mansouri hailed the achievement as a reflection of the development of this difficult sport in Qatar, highlighting the role of the overseas training camps the team had ahead of the tournament.
