Dr. Jaleela bint Al-Sayed Jawad Hassan, Minister of Health participated in the 70th session of the WHO Regional Committee for the Eastern Mediterranean (RC70) in Cairo, Egypt under the theme (United for a healthier future).
The minister affirmed that Bahrain’s participation in this session reflects its keenness to support regional efforts to research and discuss the most important health issues and review the prominent topics.
The participants in the session discussed topics related to the formulation and implementation of national health plans to assure the implementation of clinical practices and public health principles, and continue to ensure joint UN-agencies implementation of the health-related sustainable development goals to support member states in the Eastern Mediterranean Region.
She pointed out the role of joint regional efforts in achieving sustainable development goals, accelerating comprehensive health coverage, and ensuring health for all.
