Sudan, Turkey Agree to Boost Mutual Trade and Investment

Khartoum, Al-Sadiq Mohamed Ali, state minister at the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Trade, announced a Sudanese-Turkish agreement to establish strategic economic partnerships that involve joint ventures in the fields of free zones and investment as well as boosting trade and investment between the two countries in the coming phase.

Turkey has agreed to carry out mega development projects in several fields such as railway, agriculture and livestock, besides working on helping Sudan join the World Trade Organization and expand training, capacity building and the exchange of expertise between the two sides, Ali said on Monday.

He added Turkish President Recep Tayyib Erdogan’s expected visit in March will see the signing of agreements on the development of economic strategic partnerships and moving forward to the implementation phases.
