CABINET NODS DRAFT LAW REGULATING POSTAL SERVICES

The Cabinet at its weekly meeting, held at the Amiri Diwan and chaired by Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, on Wednesday approved a draft law on the regulation of postal services.

The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC) and the Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) prepared the draft law to develop the postal sector in Qatar.

Under the terms of the draft law, all postal services and service providers shall be subject to the provisions of this law, and no person shall provide a postal service until obtaining a license. The CRA will determine the required conditions and procedures to be followed in order to obtain the license.
