OIC Ambassadors to Ireland Hold Talks with Irish Parliament Speaker

Dublin, Saudi Ambassador to Ireland Nail Al-Jubeir and other ambassadors of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) countries to Ireland held a meeting today with Irish Parliament Speaker Sean O Fearghail.

The ambassadors stressed that security and stability in the region can only be ensured by achieving justice and peace that meets all the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.

The meeting touched on the current situation in Gaza Strip and the Israeli aggression there that needs to be stopped to avoid the serious repercussions it has not only on the Palestinian people but also on the region, and that undermines the chances of achieving justice and peace in the region.

The ambassadors further stressed the need to stop the aggression and take the urgently needed measures to lift the siege on Gaza, and allow the immediate delivery of humanitarian aid — food, fuel and medical equipment — to the strip, calling on the international community to take effective steps to stop the aggression in order to avoid its catastrophic humanitarian and security repercussions.
