The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ has participated in Qatar National Sports Day “QNSD2023” activities in cooperation with Qatar Basketball Federation in Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre Park, where a number of recreational and sport activities were held by Ashghal for the visitors, employees and their families.
on this occasion, H.E Dr. Eng. Saad bin Ahmed Al-Mohannadi, Ashghal’s President confirmed that the role of Ashghal’s participation in QNSD2023 is not only to organize sport & recreational activities but also to provide an integrated infrastructure that helps the public to practice sports all year.
He added: “Various parks with different sport facilities were constructed that include play areas, exercise equipment, pedestrian, jogging & cycling paths, where for example 2131 km of pedestrian & cycling paths were implemented that helped changing the lifestyle in Qatar”.
For his part, Mr. Abdulla Saad Al Saad, Public Relations & Communications Dept Manager at #Ashghal stated: Today, Ashghal participates in QNSD2023 in DECC with activities included various sports like Basketball, Cycling, Walking & Padel courts for adults and children with fitness equipment & children play zone to spend time with their families”
Mr. Abdulla Saad Al Saad, Public Relations & Communications Dept. Manager at #Ashghal thanked Qatar Basketball Federation for their constant cooperation with PWA in all sport events, and for the success of Ashghal’s participation in QNSD2023.
On the sideline of QNSD2023, the winners of “Inta Gadha” competition launched annually by the Public Relations & Comunications Dept. among employees, have been honored with the aim of raising fitness level & reaching ideal weight.
