Diriyah Gate Development Authority Obtains ISO Certifications for Governance and Quality Management

Diriyah, The Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) has secured two International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certifications for governance and quality management (ISO 37000 and ISO 9001), according to a DGDA news release.

According to the statement, this achievement follows the application and completion of the General Secretariat of the DGDA’s Board of Directors adhering to the international standards for quality management systems and governance guidelines approved by both Austrian and Saudi authorities.

The DGDA is the first body in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries to obtain an ISO certification for governance from TUV Austria. The most recent addition of these two certificates adds to the Authority’s extensive collection of international awards and certificates obtained across various fields in recent years.

Commenting on the success of the certificates, the Diriyah Gate Development Authority stated that the two certificates reflect its officials’ commitment to the highest interna
tional standards in quality management and governance, consolidating the best international standards across various works, projects, and programs. Additionally, the effort of the Secretariat in managing the affairs of the Authority’s Board of Directors and its affiliated committees with high quality, efficiency, and effectiveness is acknowledged.

The Authority confirmed that the awarding certificates followed the successful application of ISO certification evaluation criteria in governance, quality management, and professional business practices. This initiative aligns with its policies and directives aimed at establishing international quality standards across its diverse business sectors, including tourism, heritage, and cultural projects in Diriyah.

Possessing the two certificates signifies a commitment to Royal Decree Order No. (2646) issued on 5/29/1437 AH, which mandates government agencies to adhere to programs, mechanisms, and methods in line with international practices. This achievement is a resu
lt of the ongoing efforts of the Authority to uphold the highest international standards in quality management and governance for DGDA.
