Doha Institute for Graduate Studies Prepares to Graduate Seventh Cohort of Masters Students

The Doha Institute for Graduate Studies is preparing to organize the graduation ceremony of the seventh cohort of masters students on May 18, 2023. It is expected that the total number of students graduating this year will reach 196, including 129 from the School of Social Sciences and Humanities, and 67 from the School of Economics, Administration and Public Policies.

Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Ibrahim Freihat said that the graduation ceremony is the most important annual event organized by the Institute, which was established specifically to contribute in advancing scientific research in the social, human and administrative sciences and in the production of original knowledge uniting with global research production, pointing out that the Institute seeks to achieve this mission by adopting international academic standards of an advanced level in all disciplines it provides to qualify graduates of the institute who hold a master’s degree to enter the higher education experience in doctoral disciplines in other prestigious international universities.

For her part, Executive Director of the Administration and Finance Division at Doha Institute for Graduate Studies Eman Abdullah Al Sulaiti pointed out that preparations are under way to put the final touches to a distinguished graduation ceremony for a new cohort qualified with science and knowledge and supportive of the sustainable development process, noting that the institute celebrated the graduation of six cohorts since its establishment, with a total number of 1040 male and female graduates.

Doha Institute for Graduate Studies offers 18 internationally accredited masters programs in two schools: the School of Social Sciences and Humanities, and the School of Economics, Administration and Public Policy. The Institute offers eight Doctoral programs, which are: Development Economics, Public Administration, Political Science and International Relations, Linguistics and Arabic Lexicography, History, Sociology, Media Studies, and Critical Security Studies.
