Germany begin World Cup year with Israel and Netherlands friendlies

Hansi Flick’s Germany will begin their build up to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar with March friendlies at home to Israel and away to the Netherlands, the governing DFB said Friday. Israel will visit Sinsheim on March 26 and three days later Germany will take on their historic Dutch rivals in Amsterdam. “I’m really pleased that our schedule for this World Cup year is now set and we can start preparing properly,” said Flick. “I’m extremely satisfied with our fixture list.” The trip to the Netherlands, who have also qualified for Qatar, is considered by Flick to be “a great way of seeing where we s…
