H.E. Minister of Commerce and Industry & Acting Minister of Finance inaugurates ninth edition of Cityscape Qatar 2021

Under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, H.E. Mr. Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, Minister of Commerce and Industry and Acting Minister of Finance, inaugurated the ninth edition of Cityscape Qatar 2021, taking place at the Doha Exhibition & Convention Center (DECC), on October 17-19, 2021.

After the inauguration, H.E. Mr. Al Kuwari toured the exhibition and was briefed on the various participating departments and pavilions, as well as the latest developments, services, and investment opportunities provided by participating companies and entities.

H.E. the Minister of Commerce and Industry and Acting Minister of Finance, stressed the importance of Cityscape Qatar 2021, pointing out that it represented an important platform showcasing the development being witnessed by the real estate sector in Qatar, especially in light of the projected positive growth indicators of the national economy, and the recovery of real estate markets during the coming period.

H.E. Mr. Al Kuwari affirmed that the State’s interest in Cityscape reflected its belief in the pivotal role played by the real estate sector in supporting the national economy’s diversity and competitiveness. H.E. Mr. Al Kuwari further expressed his hope that this event would achieve tangible results that consolidated Qatar’s position as an ideal destination for real estate investment in the region.

H.E. Mr. Al Kuwari witnessed the signing of a contract between Qatar Chamber and Qatari Diar, entailing the purchase of the new building of the Qatar Chamber in Lusail Commercial Boulevard, which is set to become the Chamber’s main headquarters. The contract was signed by H.E. Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani, Chairman of Qatar Chamber, and Eng. Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah, CEO of Qatari Diar.

Cityscape aims to shed light on the most prominent real estate projects across Qatar, as well as provide a platform for communication between residential buyers, investors, and real estate sector specialists in the field of design and construction.
