KSrelief Signs Cooperation Agreement with WFP to Treat Malnutrition in Yemen

Paris, The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) signed on Tuesday a $4,085,000 cooperation agreement with the World Food Programme (WFP) to treat moderate acute malnutrition for children under five and pregnant and nursing women in Yemen.

The agreement was signed in Paris on the sidelines of the International Conference for Sudan and Neighboring Countries, which France and the EU organized.

KSrelief Supervisor General Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah and WFP Executive Director Cindy McCain signed the agreement.

The agreement aims to improve nutritional status and prevent nutritional deficiencies among children and pregnant and nursing women by distributing nutritional supplements that will benefit 86,985 individuals.

This endeavour is yet another humanitarian initiative taken by Saudi Arabia, through KSrelief, to help the Yemeni people and help maintain food security in Yemen in collaboration with specialized UN agencies.
