KSrelief Volunteer Medical Team Saves Life of a Gambian Patient with an 11 Kilogram Tumor

Banjul, The volunteer medical team of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has saved the life of a 17-year-old female patient from the Republic of The Gambia, removing an 11-kilogram tumor in a nearly four hours of operation.

First Lady of The Gambia Fatoumatta Bah-Barrow thanked the KSrelief medical team, expressing appreciation for its professional competence.

The operation was part of a medical project entailing operating tumors in the city of Banjul, Republic of The Gambia, in which 10 Saudi physicians of various specialties take part; so far, tens of surgeries of varying complexity were performed by the team.

The project is an extension of the voluntary medical projects carried out by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through KSrelief to help patients in need around the world.
