Qatar Participates in Interpol Working Group on Cybercrime Meeting in Riyadh

The State of Qatar participates in the 14th meeting of the Interpol Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Working Group on Cybercrime for Heads of Units, which started Monday in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Assistant Director of the Economic and Cyber Crimes Combating Department, Maj. Madawi Saeed Al Qahtani, represents the Ministry of Interior in the three-day meeting.

The meeting reviews the experiences of participating countries in combating cybercrime and international efforts in this field, starting with the development and modernization of legislation that criminalizes and punishes the use of technology in all types of crime and the efforts of police and security personnel in confronting this type of crime.
