Qatar condemned the Israeli assassination of Palestinian Al Jazeera Senior Journalist Shireen Abu Akleh in a statement on Wednesday morning. The ministry of foreign affairs labelled the killing of Abu Akleh – who was shot in the head by Israeli occupation forces in the West Bank on Wednesday – a “horrific crime” and a “blatant attack on freedom of media and expression”.
