REGA CEO Receives President of Qatari Real Estate Regulatory Authority

Riyadh: CEO of the Real Estate General Authority (REGA) Eng. Abdullah bin Saud Al-Hammad, at the authority’s headquarters in Riyadh, has received Chairperson of the Qatari Real Estate Regulatory Authority Eng. Khalid bin Ahmed Al Obaidli and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed issues of mutual interest and discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two brotherly countries in the real estate sector.

The delegates were briefed on REGA’s work in regulation and legislation for the real estate sector in the Kingdom, and reviewed the comprehensive strategy of the authority. They also examined REGA’s pioneering experience in the real estate development sector, including systems for off-plan sales, real estate contributions, and the escrow account mechanism. The delegation also checked on real estate operations through issuing licenses, supervision, and the services of the Saudi Real Estate Arbitration Center. The delegates also visited the headquarters of the National Ho
using Company, which represents a model for the authority’s operational processes and the mechanism for developing platforms and monitoring real estate services. They also visited the headquarters for off-plan sales and leasing operations to review the operational team’s mechanisms.

The delegation members praised the systems, legislation, expertise, operational models, platforms, and real estate services they observed, which enhance reliability and transparency in the real estate sector. The delegates also stressed the importance of exchanging expertise and experiences to overcome challenges and promote sector growth in both countries according to the best sustainable urban practices aimed at building vibrant, resilient urban communities aligned with economic and social goals.
