Until last week, the sales of Qatari agricultural product yards (Mazrooah, Al Wakrah, Al Khor, Al Dhakhira, Al Shahaniyah, Al Shamal) yards, of the Agricultural Affairs Department, resulted in the marketing of 370 tons of vegetables, 59.5 tons of fruits, 116 kg of honey, 373 kg of dates and 200 boxes of mushrooms.
It is worth noting that the works at the local agricultural product yards are being carried out seven days a week in Mazrooah, Al Khor, Al Dhakhira, and Al Wakrah yards, while the works at Al Shahaniyah and Al Shamal yards are being performed on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. The local product yards provide a direct marketing platform for Qatari farmers to deal with the consumer without a merchant. The offered products of the yards are characterized by low prices, as they are lower than the prices of the daily bulletin, and their services are provided free of charge to the producers.
