The Saudi Accreditation Center celebrated the International Day for Accreditation, which falls on June 9 of each year, organizing forum activities under the slogan “Accreditation and Promoting the Future of International Trade” in the presence of the Governor of the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization Dr. Saad bin Othman Al-Qasabi and a number of officials, experts and those interested in the fields of accreditation and quality with the active participation of government and private agencies.
In a key speech, the Executive Director of the Saudi Accreditation Center, Dr. Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al-Qaid, referred to the importance of accreditation and its role in promoting international trade by raising the quality of products and creating reliable local and global supply chains.
During the forum, two discussion sessions were held, the first entitled “The Quality of Saudi Industry… Ensuring Access to Global Markets” and the second entitled “The Role of Quality in Supporting Global Supply Chains”, with the participation of speakers from government agencies and private companies.
The Saudi Accreditation Center is keen to celebrate International Accreditation Day in conjunction with the celebration of the International Accreditation Forum “IAF” and the International Laboratory Accreditation Organization “ILAC” in addition to international accreditation bodies around the world, based on its strategic objectives aimed at qualifying the quality system in the field of accreditation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to become among the top ten countries in the world by the year 2030.
