Saudi Arabia Warns Against Fake Hajj Companies, Requires Hajj Visa, Commends Iraqi Arrests

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah warned pilgrims about fake Hajj companies for 2024, emphasizing that a Hajj visa issued by Saudi authorities or official channels is mandatory. These companies often advertise on social media in various countries.

The ministry commended the Iraqi Supreme Commission for Hajj and Umrah’s cooperation with law enforcement, leading to the arrest of over 25 fake Hajj companies. It appreciates similar efforts by other countries to combat this illegal activity.

The ministry actively monitors fake Hajj company advertisements abroad and urges everyone to report them. Cooperation is crucial to reducing the occurrence of pilgrimage without a permit. For official information, pilgrims should visit the ministry’s website and social media channels.
