Shura Council lauds Bahraini youth’s national role, distinction

The Shura Council has affirmed that the International Youth Day provides an opportunity to highlight Bahraini youth’s achievements and effective contributions to the kingdom’s comprehensive development process thanks to the constant care of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, out of HM’s belief in their effective role in building the nation’s future.

In a statement, the Shura Council congratulated Bahraini youth on the International Youth Day 2023, which is observed worldwide on August 12 under the theme “Green Skills for Youth: Towards a Sustainable World”, praising their keenness to enhance the kingdom’s progress, and contribute to its efforts to achieve sustainable development goals.

The Shura Council also lauded the keenness of the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to launch programmes and initiatives that ensure youth’s effective participation in building the nation and highlighting its bright image at various international gatherings.

The Council also affirmed the legislative branch’s keenness to cooperate with the government to upgrade national legislation and laws to empower Bahraini youth and meet their aspirations, as they are the cornerstone of the kingdom’s success in achieving sustainable development goals.

The Shura Council also paid tribute to His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, General Sports Authority Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President, for their continuous support for programmes that develop the capabilities of Bahraini youth to enable them to achieve distinction at the local and global levels.
