Kuwait: Qatar’s Salim Al Malki claimed the silver medal of U19 age group at the 2021 GCC Squash Championship being held in Kuwait.
In the final match, Al Malki suffered a 0-3 defeat at the hands of Kuwait’s Hassan Al Zaatari.
In team event, Qatar took the silver medal after beating Saudi Arabia and Bahrain before going down fighting against Kuwait to take the second place.
Khalid Al Khelaifi, Board Member of the Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation and Head of National Teams Committee congratulated team Qatar players on winning the two silver medals and confirmed that this achievement will give both the players and the federation a huge motivation to do even better in the upcoming events.
