Gaza – Together – The Ministry of Health in Gaza said that all citizens of the Strip drink unsafe water, which puts their lives in danger.
She pointed out that with the public health laboratory shut down, the inability to examine drinking water, and the occupation not allowing the introduction of chlorine or any alternative to it to treat drinking water through chlorination, all citizens of the Gaza Strip are drinking unsafe water and putting their lives at risk.
The suffering of Gazans is compounded by the difficulty of obtaining water after the Israeli army destroyed most of the water desalination plants.
The mayor of the city of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip, Alaa Al-Attar, reported that the Israeli occupation army destroyed 70 percent of the water wells feeding the Palestinian residents of the city, and 50 percent of the sewage pumps, which caused a humanitarian crisis during the war on the Strip.
The occupation army destroyed all agricultural crops in the city and destroyed commercial markets
and more than 80 linear kilometers of water and sewage networks.
