Lucas do rio verde: Brazilian authorities on Saturday announced the death of 11 people and the injury of 45 others in a traffic accident in the western part of the country.
According to Qatar News Agency, the accident occurred near the city of Lucas do Rio Verde in the state of Mato Grosso on Friday. A passenger bus collided with a truck carrying cotton seeds, resulting in 11 deaths and 45 injuries, the Brazilian Federal Highway Police stated in a Saturday announcement.
Fatal accidents are common on Brazil's roads, with similar incidents occurring frequently. In May, nine people were killed in a similar collision between a bus and a truck in the same state.
