13 Militants Killed, 4 Arrested in Security Operations Southwestern Pakistan


Quetta: The Pakistani army announced the elimination of 13 militants and the arrest of four others during security operations in the southwestern region of the country.



According to Qatar News Agency, the army released a statement on Wednesday detailing that security forces conducted two operations based on intelligence reports. These operations were initiated after observing militant activities in the cities of Quetta and Kitch, located in the southwestern Balochistan province, on September 30 and October 1.



The statement further revealed that an additional security operation took place in the Kheddar district of Balochistan on Wednesday, leading to the arrest of four militants.



Earlier, Pakistani authorities reported that at least 10 individuals, including both civilians and soldiers, were killed and 33 others sustained injuries in a suicide bombing aimed at a paramilitary headquarters in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province.



This recent attack underscores the ongoing instability affecting the province and other parts of Pakistan.
