Naqab Towns on Strike Following Martyrdom of Young Man Near Al Aqsa

Several municipalities in the occupied Naqab announced a general strike on Sunday in protest against the Israeli occupation forces’ execution of Mohammad Khaled Al Osaibi in the vicinity of the blessed Al Aqsa Mosque, at dawn today.

The High Follow-Up Committee for Arab Citizens in the 1948-Occupied Lands called for an emergency meeting to study the case.

The strike includes the Municipalities of Rahat and Hura and the local council of Tel el Saba, which will see the postponing of the Ramadan entertainment program for two days (Saturday and Sunday).

The local council in Tel el Sabaa announced two-day general strike (including the education system) today and tomorrow.

The Palestine News and Info Agency (WAFA) stated that the Israeli occupation forces opened fire on him near the Chain Gate, one of the gates leading to the Mosque, killing him.

Following his martyrdom, the occupation forces completely closed down the Old City of Jerusalem, accompanied by the storming of the Al Aqsa Mosque and assaulting worshipers inside it, attempting to remove them by force, in addition to an extensive deployment of occupation forces at the gates of Al Aqsa.

The family of Martyr Al Osaibi called for a serious investigation into the crime, stressing that their son was executed in cold blood after 20 bullets were fired at him.

2nd Khalifa Squash Complex Open Kicks off Tomorrow

The 2nd Khalifa Squash Complex Open tournament kicks off tomorrow at Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex, and is set to conclude on April 6.

The competitions will be categories based on gender and age: including girls U-15 and boys under 11, 13, 15, 17, and 19 years old, in addition to the men’s and the women’s categories.

Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation (QTSBF) Executive Director and the Tournament’s Director Saad Al Mohannadi said in a statement that this local tournament is of great importance, because it provides the opportunity for national teams’ players to interact with players of different squash schools, as well as it contributes to increasing the popularity and skill development of the game and its players.

Al Mohannadi added that this tournament is being held during the holy month of Ramadan, with the aim of maintaining the players’ technical and physical levels and promoting a healthy lifestyle throughout the year.

QTSBF Executive Director stressed the Federation’s keenness to facilitate national teams players’ participation in the largest number of tournaments, whether local or international.

Four Pakistani Soldiers Killed in Armed Attack

Four Pakistani soldiers were killed on Saturday in an armed attack in the southwestern part of the country.

A statement from the Pakistani army said that four soldiers were killed while they were on a routine border patrol of Pakistani security forces operating along the border in Jalgai Sector in Pakistan’s Balochistan province.

Yesterday, the Pakistani army announced that a gunman was killed and two were wounded during a security operation in southwestern Pakistan.
