DETAILS OF THE CASE: According to the lawsuit, the Defendants made false and misleading statements to promote BlockFi Interest Accounts (“BIAs”), including that BIAs were a secure method of collecting interest. In addition, the Complaint alleges, among other things, that the defendants omitted and concealed material information concerning the risks associated with BIAs, including through BlockFi’s exposure to FTX Trading, Ltd. (“FTX”) and Sam Bankman-Fried’s trading firm Alameda Research (“Alameda”), both of which collapsed in the wake of revelations that FTX and Alameda were engaging in fraud on a massive scale. In the wake of the FTX collapse, the lawsuit alleges that BlockFi froze withdrawals in BIAs, harming BIA investors. Further, investors in BIAs were not aware of conflicts of interest and self-dealing between BlockFi and other entities, such as Gemini Trust LLC, controlled by Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss. The Complaint further alleges BlockFi and the Individual Defendants engaged in the unlawful offer and sale of securities in violation of Sections 5, 11, 12(a)(2), and 15 of the Securities Act of 1933 by selling BIAs to investors. Syria, Saudi Arabia welcome the resumption of consular services and air flights between the two countries

Syria and Saudi Arabia welcomed the resumption of consular services and air flights between the two countries, affirming the necessity of boosting security and combating terrorism with all its forms and organizations.

“In the framework of Saudi Arabia’s commitment to the Arab causes, and to boost the interests of the Arab countries and people, and in response to an invitation by his highness, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia, Syrian Foreign Minister, Fayssal Mikdad visited the Kingdom today,” A joint press statement said at the conclusion of the visit of Mr. Mikdad to Saudi Arabia.

The statement added that a session of talks was held between the two sides, during which they discussed the efforts exerted to realize a political solution to the crisis in Syria that keeps its security, stability, Arab and Islamic identify and territorial integrity in the interest of the Syrian people.

The two sides stressed the importance of solving the humanitarian difficulties, providing a suitable environment to deliver aid to all regions in Syria, availing the proper conditions for the return of Syrian refugees and the displaced to their areas, ending their suffering and taking more procedures that help stabilize the situation all over Syrian territories, the statement said.

It added that the two sides also affirmed the necessity of boosting security, combating terrorism with all its forms and boosting cooperation regarding war on smuggling drugs and trafficking in it, and the need to support the Syrian State’s institutions to establish its control on its territories to end the presence of the armed militias and the foreign interventions in the Syrian domestic affair.

Temperatures lower than average, rainy weather prevails

Temperatures will remain from 4 to 9 degrees lower than average as the country is affected by a low air pressure accompanied by cold and wet air mass in all layers of the atmosphere.

The meteorology Department expected in its Thursday bulletin that the weather will be cold and rainy to partly rainy, heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorm is expected, in addition to snow on the mountains which heights is more than 1400m.

The Department warned against the formation of ice on the mountains, fog in some inland areas in the early morning.

The winds will be southwestern to western of moderate speed, the wind speed will exceed 75km/h in the southern and central regions, the sea waves will be medium to low in amplitude.

The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus, 15/06, Lattakia, 19/13, Homs, 13/08, Hama, 14/09, Aleppo, 18/07, Deir Ezzor, 20/10.

Saudi Beach Soccer Team Participates in Acapulco Beach Soccer Cup 2023 in Mexico

The Saudi beach soccer national team flew yesterday to Mexico to participate in the Acapulco Beach Soccer Cup 2023. The tournament will take place from Friday, April 14th, to April 16th, as part of the team’s training and preparations for the 2023 Arab Beach Soccer Championship. The championship will be held in Jeddah from May 11th to 20th.

The Saudi national team received an invitation from the Beach Soccer Worldwide organization to participate in the international tournament, which will also host the national Mexican, American, and Colombian teams.

According to the recent classification issued by the Beach Soccer Worldwide organization for the first quarter of 2023, the Saudi beach soccer national team is ranked 29th in the world.

President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, has left Madinah after visiting the Prophet’s Mosque, where he performed prayers and greeted the Prophet (PBUH) and his two companions.

At the Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport, he was seen off by Prince Saud bin Khalid Al-Faisal, Deputy Governor of Madinah Region, along with several civilian and military officials.
