ANN ARBOR, Mich., Aug. 02, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — The Coretec Group (OTCQB: CRTG), developers of silicon anode active materials for lithium-ion batteries and cyclohexasilane (CHS) for electric vehicles (EVs), cleantech, and emerging tech applications, today announced the launch of its Endurion Partner Development Program, a commercial initiative that solicits stakeholders up and down the battery and energy storage value chain(s) to participate in the development of the Company’s proprietary silicon anode battery materials technology.

The Endurion Partner Development program is intended to engage professionals spanning:

  • End users brands among electric vehicles, consumer electronics, military, and others

  • Academic research and Commercial R&D.

KSrelief Hands over Two Renovated Schools to Local Authority Command in Al-Dali in Yemen

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center handed over, yesterday, two renovated schools to the local authority command in Al-Dali Governorate in Yemen as part of an emergency response project to ensure access to a safe and comprehensive educational environment.

The project is part of the Kingdom’s grant to support the humanitarian response plan in Yemen, where the project will expand 28 classrooms and rehabilitate ten schools, including wastewater facilities, provide educational assistance tools to educational staff in 20 schools and offer psychological and educational support activities for 40 trainees, where the project is expected to benefit over 16,000 students in the governorates of Lahij, Abyan, Al-Dali and Taizz.

Bahrain All Share index marks 1,988.48 points

Bahrain All Share Index closed at 1,988.48 points, marking a decrease of 3.61 points below the previous closing.

This decrease was due to the drop in the communication service sector, consumer discretionary sector, financial sector and material sector.

Bahrain Islamic Index closed at 777.20 points, marking a decrease of 2.36 points below the previous closing.

Results indicated that 56 equity transactions took place with a volume of 2,150,290 worth BD 854,574.

Investors traded mainly in the Non-Bahraini companies sector representing 56.13% of the total value of securities traded.

NIHR President meets outgoing UK Deputy Ambassador

Ali Ahmed Al Derazi, National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR)’s President met Stuart Summers, the outgoing Deputy Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Bahrain, and Fiona Walker Doyle, the newly appointed Deputy Ambassador.

Al Derazi commended the efforts made by the outgoing Deputy Ambassador to strengthen ties and cooperation between the NIHR and the embassy, including in the human rights field, and wished him success in his future assignments.

Summers praised the efforts of the NIHR president and the institution members in promoting human rights protection.

He wished Bahrain and its people further success and prosperity.

BIBF offers training courses at Youth City 2030

The Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) announced its participation in Youth City 2030, offering training courses for Bahraini youth to enhance their skills, competencies, and creative potential.

Youth City 2030, hosted by the Youth Affairs Ministry in partnership with the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), is a highly anticipated month-long event set to unfold at the Exhibition World Bahrain in Zallaq.

The twelfth edition of Youth City will be dedicated to empowering Bahraini youth through comprehensive training, equipping them with essential skills to excel in today’s competitive labour market.

The BIBF will offer a diverse range of courses tailored to different age groups. Participants aged 9 to 14 can take part in the morning sessions, while those aged 15 to 35 can engage in the evening sessions.

The course offerings encompass five comprehensive programmes, each comprising multiple modules carefully crafted to empower youth in various aspects of personal and professional development. Furthermore, the BIBF will be offering Technology Sessions in cooperation with Reboot01.

In addition, the programmes also include Youth Empowerment: Journey to Success and Innovation, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity Fundamentals (CSX) in cooperation with ISACA Bahrain Chapter, Future Leaders Programme, and Certified Associate Project Management (CAPM) . These programmes are offered throughout the month of August as part of Youth City 2030.

Industry Ministry launches visual communication service with investors

Ministry of Industry and Commerce, in cooperation with Cisco, announced the launch of the visual communication service for investors through the Ministry’s customer service center.

The service is for those wishing to learn more about the investment opportunities available to both local and international investors, through the latest advanced technologies for remote communication.

The service aims to enhance communication between investors and the customer service center, improve services and save time. It will also contribute to the speedy exchange of information and data.

This service was launched in line with the government program to facilitate government procedures and services and meet the needs of investors. Investors can book an appointment for video calling through Sijilat or the ministry’s official website.

Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce said that in embodiment of the government’s pioneering directions in adopting new digital technologies to serve citizens, residents and companies, the service will target all investors from inside and outside the Kingdom.

He added that the ministry aims to provide a smooth and effective communication platform available to all, regardless of their location or language preferences.

Abdulelah Al Najari, General Director of Cisco in the Gulf Region, expressed his pride to cooperate with the ministry to digitize its services provided, improve their efficiency, and make them accessible to all.

He added that Cisco has introduced the latest collaboration and remote communication platforms to support the Kingdom’s vision to stimulate and facilitate investments in line with the Bahraini government’s strategy to support the digital transformation of the Kingdom.

Zimbabwe, Algeria Discuss Cooperation, Investment Opportunities in Mining Sector

Zimbabwe’s Minister of Mines Winston Chitando discussed Tuesday with Minister of Energy and Mines of Algeria Mohamed Arkab, who is currently visiting Zimbabwe, opportunities and possibilities for cooperation and partnership in the mining sector between the two countries.

The two ministers also reviewed ways of exploiting all investment opportunities between the two countries, especially in the field of exploration, exploitation and transfer of mineral resources, in addition to training and developing human resources.

Zimbabwe’s Minister for Energy Soda discussed with Minister Arkab on Tuesday ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the field of energy and the development of electrical networks.

The two ministers also signed a memorandum of understanding between the two countries in the field of energy, aimed at developing bilateral cooperation in the fields of oil, gas, electricity and renewable energies. (QNA)

National Committee for Customs Clearance Discusses Reducing Time of Merchandise Release

The National Committee for the Customs Clearance System on Wednesday discussed an array of topics with respect to streamlining government procedures at customs ports in Qatar and removing any potential hurdles that might face them, including reducing the release time of merchandise.

In a statement today, the General Authority of Customs (GAC) said that the committee discussed a proposal submitted by GAC on the incoming shipments for Doha Expo 2023, along with other topics incorporated into the agenda of the meeting.

Acting Assistant of Chairman of GAC for Customs Affairs and Chair of the National Committee Mohamed bin Ahmed Al Mohannadi said the committee aims to follow up on what is agreed upon with the relevant entities and work partners at customs ports through its meetings.

He pointed out that the committee is committed to promoting customs performance in Qatar through upgrading customs procedures and increasing coordination and cooperation between GAC and its relevant partners operating at ports and borders, along with the authorities restricting merchandise and commodities, as well as work partners from the private sector, import and export companies and other relevant entities to increase the flow velocity of commodities and merchandise and ensure undergirding the Qatari economy, facilitating import and export traffic, filling the local market needs and providing all requirements.

The function of the National Committee for the Customs Clearance System is primarily fixated on streamlining trade exchange processes between Qatar and all countries through streamlining customs procedures and non-tariff restrictions at ports, as well as inventory of all import and export processes in a single window to ensure all relevant entities are able to finalize all transactions through the customs system.

In its periodical meetings, the committee discusses all matters pertinent to import and export processes in Qatar with an active participation from representatives of the public and private entities concerned with trade traffic, including GAC, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of Public Health, Ministry of Municipality, Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, General Tax Authority, Qatar General Organization for Standards and Metrology, QatarEnergy, Qatar Airways, Qatar Ports Management Company, Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry. QSE General Index Closes 1.12 Percent Lower

The general index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Wednesday at 10,983.36 points, down by 1.12 percent.

During today’s session, 199,352,843 shares were traded, with a value of QR 438,978,418.212, as a result of the implementation of 14,906 transactions in all sectors.

Shares of 21 companies rose in the session, and the prices of 22 other companies decreased, while five companies maintained their previous closing prices.

The market capitalization at the end of the trading session amounted to QR 644,533,344,473.800 compared to QR 649,855,608,567.110, in the previous session. (QNA)

US occupation loots tens of tons of bran from al-Jazeera , Hasaka

The US occupation and its affiliated QSD militia continued plundering the Syrian resources from the areas they occupy in al-Jazeera and brought out dozens of tankers loaded with bran during the past hours.

The US-linked militia had seized amounts of bran and collected them in the silos it controlled in Hasaka and its countryside.

Local sources from al-Yarubiyah countryside told SANA reporter that a convoy of 45 trucks loaded with bran, which were loaded from al-Yarubiyah silos, has been brought out in batches via the illegal al-Mahmoudiya crossing towards the occupation bases in northern Iraq.

The sources added that the convoy also has included a number of tanks loaded with oil stolen from al-Jazeera land.
