Qalqilya – Ma’an – Hebrew sources said, at dawn on Wednesday, that a Palestinian injured four occupation police officers, in a double run-over and stabbing operation near the Eyal crossing, north of Qalqilya.

The Hebrew sources said that the perpetrator was shot dead by the occupation forces after trying to stab a security officer at the Eyal crossing.

In details reported by Hebrew sources, the perpetrator ran over four police officers near the ‘Kochav Yair’ settlement, then fled in his car towards the ‘Eyal’ checkpoint, and there he tried to stab a security officer, and he was shot, which led to his death, and a second person who was with him fled. Large forces from The occupation army chased him.

Magen David Adom reported that the condition of two police officers was serious.

Ma’an’s correspondent reported that the occupation forces closed the entrances to the city of Qalqilya, following the run-over operation that took place inside the Green Line, north of Qalqilya.

WHO Calls for Immediate Ceasefire in Gaza

Geneva, The UN World Health Organization (WHO) called for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and applying the relevant United Nations Security Council’s resolutions.

WHO spokesperson Margaret Harris said that Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza is completely out of service and is unable to provide any medical services due to the Israeli strikes over the past two weeks against the facility, adding that 21 patients have died under the Israeli siege of the hospital.

She said the destruction of Al-Shifa Medical Complex means the collapse of the health system in the Gaza Strip, and that if access to the facility and the few remaining healthcare centers in northern Gaza were allowed today, the organization’s priorities would include providing supplies of medicine, fuel, and food, and evaluating additional needs to save the lives of the remaining patients.

The spokesperson said that WHO teams have been trying to reach the hospital for several days but most of their missions were turned away.

GCC Secretary General Condemns Targeting of a Convoy Belonging to ‘World Central Kitchen’ Organisation in Gaza

Riyadh: Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, expressed his strong condemnation and deep dismay at the targeting of a convoy belonging to the “World Central Kitchen” organisation in the Gaza Strip, adding that this incident represents a blatant continuation of the series of crimes and violations committed by the Israeli occupation, which is contrary to international law and humanitarian principles, the GCC said in a statement.

According to the statement, Albudaiwi called on the international community to fulfil its role in putting an end to these serious Israeli violations and to protect innocent civilians and workers of humanitarian and relief organisations in order to avoid further escalation of the crisis in the Gaza Strip.

Albudaiwi also extended his heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the victims’ families, wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.
