Syrian-Tunisian talks to develop cooperation and trade relations


Damascus, The meeting held by the Assistant Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, Samer Soussi, with a Tunisian Delegation dicussed Ways to develop cooperation and trade exchange relations between the two countries.

During his meeting at the ministry building with the delegation that included Hisham Naji, the trade representative in Syria, Lebanon and Jordan, and Majdi Al-Dhaheri, the diplomat in charge of bilateral cooperation affairs at the Tunisian embassy in Damascus, Sossi presented the difficulties and obstacles that hinder joint cooperation, and providing all facilities that would advance the work. It was also agreed to follow up on the work to activate what was agreed upon directly to achieve results on the ground, and to continue bilateral meetings.

In turn, Naji stressed the Tunisian side’s keenness to strengthen economic relations and develop trade exchange with Syria, and raise them to the level of fraternal relations, noting Syria’s positions on the Arab and international levels i
n all fields.

The meeting was attended by the Director of the Syrian Trade Establishment, Ziad Hazza.

Material damage in Israeli aggression on the vicinity of Baniyas


Damascus, Material damage occurred in Israeli aggression targeting one of the points in the vicinity of Baniyas city.

‘At approximately 00:20 a.m, the Israeli enemy launched an aerial aggression from the direction of the Mediterranean Sea west of Baniyas, targeting one of the points in the vicinity of Baniyas city.’ a military source said in a statement.

Zakharova: Kiev regime’s attempts to exploit children’s hospital tragedy for propaganda purposes affirm its inhumane nature


Moscow, Spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, affirmed on Tuesday that Ukrainian regime’ attempts to use the tragedy of children’ hospital in Kiev for propaganda purposes confirm its inhuman and Nazi nature.

‘For the sake of preserving power, the Kiev regime is ready for commit any crimes. It is indifferent to the fate and lives of its citizens, including children as it uses the civilians as human shields which violates all the human laws that prohibit the use of civilians for military purposes,’ Russian news agency Sputnik quoted Zakharova as saying.

Zakharova added that strikes which were conducted by Russian forces on Ukrainian military facilities had come in response to Ukrainian army’ attempts hitting enterprises of the Russian economic complexes.

Yesterday, Russian Defense Ministry dismissed statements about deliberate strikes against civilian targets in Ukraine as incorrect.

President al-Assad discusses with President Pezeshkian bilateral relations and developments


Damascus, President Bashar al-Assad discussed on Tuesday with President Masoud Pezeshkian of Iran bilateral relations between Syria and Iran and means of boosting them in all domains.

During a telephone call, President al-Assad affirmed that relation between Syria and the Islamic Republic of Iran stems from a mutual faith and is based on principles, resistance against hegemony in a restless region that is targeted by historical colonial greed.

President Pezeshkian, for his part, stressed his country’s support for Syria and the resistance, pointing out to the importance of enhancing bilateral relations and applying mutual agreements in the interests of both peoples.

38,243 martyrs in ongoing Israeli occupation on Gaza


Occupied Jerusalem, Palestinian Health ministry said Tuesday Israeli occupation committed 3 massacres in Gaza Strip over past 24 hours, leaving 50 martyrs and 130 injured.

”The number of martyrs from the ongoing Israeli aggression on the city has reached to 38243and 88033 injured” the ministry said in a statement.

The statement added that a number of victims are still under the rubble.

Medical points, emergency clinics in Gaza out of service


Occupied Jerusalem, Palestinian Red Crescent Society(PRCS) said Tuesday that all medical points and emergency clinics in Gaza City went out of service.

‘All medical facilities went out of service due to Israeli occupation forced eviction procedures in various areas of the city’, Wafa News Agency quoted the Red Crescent said in a statement.

The number of hospitals still in service in the sector is 15 hospitals out of 36 ones, and these hospitals provide the services partially and face a severe shortage of workers and medical supplies.

Israeli occupation forces arrest four Palestinians in the West Bank


Occupied Jerusalem, The Israeli occupation forces arrested on Tuesday four Palestinians in the cities of Qalqilya and Bethlehem in the West Bank.

Wafa News Agency reported that the occupation forces stormed Azzun town, Jinsafut village, east of Qalqilya, and Husan village, west of Bethlehem, and arrested four Palestinians.

On Monday, a Palestinian was injured and 33 others were arrested during the Israeli occupation forces’ raid on different areas in the West Bank.

Martyrs, wounded in occupation bombing of various areas, Gaza Strip


Occupied Jerusalem, The Israeli occupation continues its brutal aggression on the afflicted Gaza Strip for the 277th day in a row, by land, sea and air, targeting homes, displaced persons’ gatherings and streets, leaving dozens of martyrs and wounded.

Palestinian media reported that three Palestinians were martyred and others were injured as Israeli aircraft bombed a house on al-Nakhil Street in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.

Five Palestinians were martyred and others were injured, most of them children, when the Israeli occupation forces bombed several houses in al-Sahaba and al-Jalaa areas in Gaza City, as well as the occupation forces bombed al-Lababidi area north of the city, leaving three martyrs and three wounded.

In addition to that the occupation artillery bombed several areas, west of Rafah city.

On Monday, the Palestinian Health Ministry announced that the number of victims of ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip since October 7 has risen to 38,193 martyrs and 87,903 wounded.

Venezuelan Ambassador to Moscow: We Will Support Any Ukraine Peace Plan That Russia Approves


Moscow, Venezuelan Ambassador to Russia, Jesús Rafael Salazar Velásquez, expressed his country’s support for any peace plan in Ukraine approved by Moscow.

‘If any country proposes a plan on the conflict in Ukraine, Venezuela will stand by Russia and will support and approve any peace plan in which it participates,’ Russia Today quoted Salazar Velasquez as saying in a statement to the Russian newspaper Izvestia published today.

The Venezuelan ambassador’s statement came in response to the peace initiative for Ukraine recently presented by Brazil and China.

Russian President Vladimir Putin had announced Russia’s conditions for peace with Ukraine, which are the withdrawal of Ukrainian forces from the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, in addition to abandoning its efforts to join NATO, and lifting sanctions on Russia.

One dies, 6 missing in flash flood in central Philippines


MANILA, An 11-year-old girl died while six others went missing in a flash flood in Cebu province in the central Philippines.

‘The victims were among the 17 people traveling on a pick-up truck swept away into a creek after a heavy downpour.’ Roger Suico, chief of the disaster reduction and management office of Carmen town, was quoted by Xinhua news agency as saying.

He added that rescuers saved 10 people and recovered the body of the girl Monday night while Six people remain missing, including a newlywed couple and a pregnant woman.

Initial investigation showed that the group attended a wedding in a resort and were heading back to their village when their truck drove through the flooded road and swept into a swollen roadside creek.
