28 Palestinians Martyred in Israeli Shelling of Northern, Central, Southern Gaza Strip


Gaza city: 28 Palestinians were martyred and others wounded Thursday as a result of intensive raids and shelling carried out by the Israeli occupation forces on various areas of the Gaza Strip.



According to Qatar News Agency, medical sources reported that 17 citizens were martyred and others wounded by Israeli occupation forces’ fire while waiting for aid in the Al Waha area in the northern Gaza Strip. Additionally, three Palestinians were martyred and several others wounded due to Israeli shelling of a tent housing displaced persons near the Al Samar junction in central Gaza City.



Palestinians were also wounded as a result of Israeli warplanes targeting the Al Karama area, northwest of the city. In another incident, three Palestinians, including a woman, were martyred and several others were wounded as a result of Israeli shelling targeting a tent in the Al Shati’ Al Shamali refugee camp, west of the city. Several others were also wounded due to the shelling of a house in the camp’s market.



In the southern Gaza Strip, four people were martyred in an Israeli airstrike on a group of civilians in the al Katiba neighborhood north of Khan Yunis. A fifth Palestinian was martyred in another airstrike northwest of the city.



Local sources reported that the occupation forces intensified their raids on Gaza City, targeting homes and residential apartments. Several homes and residential buildings were destroyed in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, al Nasr Street, al Shati refugee camp, and al Zeitoun neighborhood, causing a massive wave of displacement of residents.



The death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has risen to 64,718 martyrs and 163,859 wounded since Oct. 7, 2023. The Israeli occupation resumed its aggression on the Gaza Strip after violating the ceasefire agreement on Mar. 18, following a two-month pause. The attacks targeted various areas of the Gaza Strip, which is already facing an unprecedented humanitarian tragedy after 22 months of war.
