Doha: An earthquake measuring 4.2 magnitude on the Richter scale struck Gumushane province in northern Trkiye on Wednesday. A statement by the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) said that the earthquake occurred in Kelkit town at a depth of 5.09 km.
According to Qatar News Agency, no negative cases have been recorded as a result of the earthquake so far. Trkiye experienced a devastating earthquake on Feb. 6, 2023, that killed more than 50,000 people, caused significant damage to infrastructure, and left thousands injured.
