Tobelo: An earthquake measuring 4.7 magnitude on the Richter scale struck west of Tobelo in Indonesia.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Indonesian Agency for Meteorological, Climatological and Geophysics (BMKG) said that the epicenter of the earthquake occurred 85 km from Tobelo district, at a depth of 123.9 km.
There have been no reports of casualties or material damage. Indonesia experiences frequent earthquakes due to its location along the Pacific Ring of Fire, where several tectonic plates meet and cause regular volcanic and seismic activity.
