Doha: A 5.0-magnitude earthquake struck on Thursday off the coast of the Sea of Marmara in Turkiye:
According to Qatar News Agency, citing the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), the quake’s epicenter was in the Sea of Marmara off the coast of Tekirdag Province, at a depth of around 7 kilometers.
No immediate reports of damage or casualties have been issued.
In April, Istanbul was hit by a 6.2-magnitude earthquake, followed by dozens of aftershocks, which left 151 people injured.
