52nd Session of Arab Permanent Committee on Human Rights Kicks off in Cairo

The 52nd session of the Permanent Arab Committee for Human Rights commenced today at the headquarters of the Arab League (AL), under the chairmanship of Kuwait. The session witnessed the active participation of relevant government agencies from AL member states, concerned authorities within the joint Arab action system, national human rights institutions, and civil society organizations with observer status on the committee.

In her opening remarks, Arab League Assistant Secretary-General for Social Affairs Ambassador Haifa Abu Ghazaleh emphasised that the three-day session will cover a wide range of important topics.
