Deir al balah: Five Palestinians were killed and several others injured Tuesday in an Israeli airstrike on the city of Deir Al Balah in central Gaza.
According to Qatar News Agency, an Israeli drone targeted a carpentry shop in western Deir al-Balah, resulting in five fatalities and multiple injuries. The wounded were transferred to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the city.
Medical sources confirmed that the total number of Palestinians killed since early Tuesday has risen to 64. The casualties include five at Al-Shifa Hospital, 15 at the Arab Ahli (Baptist) Hospital, 21 at Al-Awda Hospital, 14 at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, and nine at Nasser Hospital.
Earlier in the day, Israeli forces struck the vicinity of Al-Quds Hospital in Tel al-Hawa, southwest Gaza City. One person was killed and others injured in a separate strike targeting a displacement tent near Abu Hajir station, northeast of Al-Nuseirat.
Two others were killed by Israeli fire while waiting for aid in southern Khan Younis.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel's ongoing military campaign in Gaza has resulted in what Palestinian authorities describe as a genocide, leaving 66,097 people dead and 168,536 injured - the majority of them women and children.
