Gaza Strip: Seven Palestinians were martyred, among them women and children, and several others wounded in several ongoing Israeli airstrikes and shelling across the Gaza Strip.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) reported that five were martyred, including a mother and her three children, when Israeli occupation forces bombed a tent housing displaced people in Al-Shafa’i camp in the Al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Yunis.
In central Gaza, a Palestinian woman was martyred as a result of Israeli shelling near the Faisal Tower in Deir al-Balah, while a Palestinian was martyred and others were wounded as a result of Israeli airstrikes on people waiting for aid on Salah Al-Din Street.
Amid the ongoing humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, aid distribution centers have turned into “mass death traps,” with repeated massacres targeting civilians who flock there in the hope of obtaining food and water, according to Palestinian and UN reports.
The same reports indicated that these centers, which are supervised by or coordinated with Israeli occupation forces, have become direct targets for gunfire, resulting in dozens of deaths and injuries. These reports also warned that these violations amount to war crimes and violate the most basic principles of humanitarian protection for civilians.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Monday that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza, which began on Oct. 7, 2023, has risen to 55,432 martyrs and 128,923 wounded.
