Doha: The 8th Turkish-Arab Art Forum commenced in Istanbul, Turkiye, on Saturday, showcasing the theme "Colors of Twin Tales." According to Qatar News Agency, the event is organized by the Turkish Arab Association in collaboration with the Turkish Arab Art House. This two-day gathering brings together Turkish and Arab artists, with initial speeches highlighting the Turkish-Arab contribution to Islamic civilization. The forum underscored the role of cultural and artistic initiatives in fostering dialogue and enhancing connections between people. The exhibition features a diverse array of fine artworks, including oil paintings, Arabic calligraphy, sculpture, ceramic arts, mosaics, and traditional gilding techniques. Among the highlights is the "Curtain for the Door of the Ka'bah" by Turkish artist Zeynep Seyhun, known for her expertise in gilding art. The forum aims to strengthen cultural ties and shared creative identities between Turkiye and the Arab world. The agenda includes artist interviews, panel di scussions, evening cultural shows, and musical performances. Metin Turan, president of the Turkish Arab Association, emphasized in his opening remarks that the forum serves to unite culture, art, and friendship on a single platform. He noted that art acts as a global bridge, transcending language, religion, and nationality, and the association is committed to fortifying this bridge between Turkiye and the Arab world.
