The police of Al-Edabi Governorate in Jazan region arrested a Yemeni national for violating border-security law by attempting to sell 450 kilograms of the narcotic khat plant, which was found hidden in his vehicle.
The authorities have taken legal action against him and referred the case to the competent authority.
Security authorities urge all citizens and residents in the Kingdom to promptly report any information related to drug smuggling and trafficking by calling 911 in Makkah, Riyadh, or the Eastern region and 999 in other regions of the Kingdom.
