Al khor: The Ministry of Culture's Al Khor Cultural Center has announced an extensive lineup of events and activities as part of its summer program, themed 'Learn, Create, Enjoy.'
According to Qatar News Agency, this year's summer program features a training course in the traditional art of Al Ardha specifically designed for children. This course is scheduled to take place from July 12 to 15 at the Al Khor community center (Corniche) and is organized in collaboration with the Nomas Center. The summer program, which commenced on June 28 and will run until August 12, includes an array of workshops alongside educational and creative activities.
Imran Al Kuwari, a trainer from the Nomas Center, will lead the Al Ardha course. The initiative aims to foster a sense of national pride among young participants and revive Qatari folk arts, aligning with the Ministry of Culture's vision to preserve and promote cultural heritage for future generations.
Mariam Al Mohannadi, Director of Al Khor Cultural Center, emphasized the center's commitment to offering a unique selection of workshops and programs each summer. These initiatives are crafted to serve various segments of society, enriching the summer experience for young individuals and children. This endeavor supports the Ministry of Culture's objectives of talent development and skills enhancement.
She further elaborated that the summer program this year includes a broad spectrum of workshops and courses, catering to diverse interests and promoting cultural engagement among the youth.
