Al rayyan: Al Rayyan swept Al Khor in straight sets on Saturday in the men's volleyball league, winning 25-19, 25-17, and 25-19 in the first round competition held at the federation hall with 10 clubs participating.
According to Qatar News Agency, with the victory, Al Rayyan raised its tally to five points to move into second place, while Al Khor remained on five points in third.
In another match, Al Wakrah also won in straight sets, defeating Al Gharafa 25-16, 25-16, and 25-21. The result lifted Al Wakrah to seven points at the top of the standings, two points clear of Al Rayyan. Al Gharafa stayed winless in ninth place.
On Sunday, two matches are scheduled: Al Shamal, seventh with one point, faces Al Sadd, last with no points, while Police SC, fourth, meets Al Ahli, eighth.
